President Donald Trump continues shots at NFL in Sunday morning tweets

President Donald Trump continued his commentary on the NFL and its players’ protests Sunday morning, saying the league’s games are “boring” and it should “fire or suspend” players who protest during the national anthem.

In a pair of tweets as kickoff of in the next Week 3 games neared, Trump doubled down on his criticism of players who have taken a knee during the anthem.

The Browns receiver told reporters Thursday Cleveland coach Hue Jackson brought Britt into his office and told him, “man-to-man,” to be the leader the team needs him to be.

“Yeah, man-to-man,” Britt said, via Cleveland.com. “I mean, he wants me to step up, bring more energy to practice and to the field, on and off the field and in the classroom. Because we’re leading down a path that we didn’t believe we were going to go.

“0-2 is not where we wanted to be, and it’s not where we’re going to stay and as long as do the little things and the small things that we’ve been missing the last two games, I believe that we can be a contender in this league.”

Britt, who signed with the Browns in March as a free agent, has just two catches for 15 yards and had a key drop in a 21-18 loss to the Steelers in the season opener.

Detroit Lions owner Martha Firestone Ford also issued a statement Sunday morning, saying, “Our game has long provided a powerful platform for dialogue and positive change in many communities throughout our nation.

Cleveland Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam, who also donated to Trump, issued a statement Sunday morning. “We view our organization, our league and our players as great unifiers of people,” the statement Plain Cheap Jerseys read, in part. “Our players, just like so many others across our league, have Nike NFL Jerseys Supply been honest and thoughtful with their attempt to bring awareness to the issues of inequality and social injustice.

Preliminary TV ratings for Sunday’s games down from previous year

Preliminary television ratings for Sunday’s NFL games finished lower as compared to the same week last year. CBS said its national games, which featured the Green Bay Packers’ 27-24 win over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs’ 24-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, were down 1 percent in the overnight ratings as compared to its Week 3 national games for the 2016 season.

Including all of CBS’ regional games, the network’s games were up 4 percent as compared to the games in Week 3 of the 2016 season.

“I think the novelty has worn off somewhat with the advent of multiple Wholesale Jerseys All matches,” Joe Crilly, spokesperson for William Hill U.K., told ESPN in an email. “Turnover on the U.K. games has been declining in recent years to the point where the international series is attracting about the same as a 6 p.m. or 11:30 p.m. kickoff.”

If you missed any of the action in Week 3 of the NFL season, ESPN Chalk gets you caught up on the winners and losers of every game from a gambling perspective.
Overall, interest in betting on the NFL in the U.K. has grown, Crilly said.

“It continues to grow, just turnover on the U.K. games has dipped,” Crilly Wholesale NBA Jerseys said. “I expect turnover on the Super Bowl will increase again this year.”

Ladbrokes said it’s seen a steady increase in both the NFL games played in the U.K. and the league overall.

“On the whole, we’re seeing a steady increase with every NFL game played at Wembley, which can only be good news for the sport,” Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati told ESPN in an email.

No. 3 Clemson held off No. 13 Auburn by sacking quarterback Jarrett Stidham 11 times.

The Texans weren’t quite that bad on Sunday, but their performance was a passable impression of that Tigers offensive line.

Tom Savage lasted just one half as the team’s starting quarterback and was sacked six times — or nearly half of his 13 dropbacks. He was replaced by Deshaun Watson after halftime, and the exponentially more mobile rookie wound up getting sacked four more times, including one that resulted in a possession-ending fumble.

“Certainly, it does get in here and there, but I think you just get older and accept it for what it is,” said Smith, 33. “You get the draft, you get the new guys in, and that’s a good thing. Fans should be excited about that. I don’t think I need to necessarily make it about me or take offense to anything. I still need to go about doing my job and to not lose that focus.”

He has done that so far this preseason, even as Mahomes makes the kind of throws in practice that have wowed teammates and Smith himself.

“Seeing some of the throws he’s making and ability to get out of the pocket and still put these throws right on a dime, it’s pretty impressive,” Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher said of Mahomes. “I think everyone is looking forward to see him progress over the years.”

Such excitement, though, is tempered by the fact that Mahomes will someday be under center at Smith’s expense.

“Alex is such a professional,” Fisher said. “He’s one of the most consistent guys I know. Every day, he doesn’t miss a beat. Just blocking for him going on five years now, it’s been a privilege.

“I hope to block for him as long as he’s doing this thing. He’s Cheap Kids NFL Jerseys Cheap Long Sleeve Soccer Jerseys doing an awesome job again. I don’t think he always gets the credit he deserves, but he’s my guy.”

In this case, it wasn’t really about the turnovers. It was about the sacks.

Nine sacks, to be specific. All in the first half, before Cutler was knocked out of this one with a concussion. The sacks hurt Cutler’s QBR to varying degrees, but ultimately Cutler’s piece of the blame amounted to a total of minus-5.81 expected points on those nine plays.

Cutler was replaced by backup Todd Collins, who didn’t last long himself and had to be replaced by third-string QB Caleb Hanie.

Cutler did throw an interception too, intended for Greg Olsen and picked off by Terrell Thomas, and that was his costliest play.

It’s hard to believe given all that, but the Bears entered that game with a 3-0 record and went on to reach the NFC Championship before losing to the Packers.

Before Manning and the Broncos won the Super Bowl, before he took his job back from Brock Osweiler and before he sat out with a plantar fascia injury, there was this game. The worst QBR game ever.

Kizer’s press conference closed with a question about whether he’ll reflect on how close the Browns were to winning this opener.

He deflected again, in the same calm demeanor.

“The competitor in me probably will never think that way,” he said. “I know that we have got to show who we are and the progress that we are making. That is being able to go against what is known as one of Cheap Jerseys Youth the better teams in our conference consistently that way. Now, we need to go out there and make sure Cheap Jordan Jerseys China that the lulls that we talked about earlier are eliminated and that we are driving that ball down as much as we can.”

The reality of the moment is sweet.

Tavecchio gets philosophical — With Sebastian Janikowski injured, the Raiders turned to Giorgio Tavecchio at kicker in their 26-16 win over the Titans. He rewarded their faith in him by kicking four field goals, including two from 52 yards. But asked about the experience of his NFL debut, Tavecchio dived into the world of philosophy, responding: “Aristotle said anticipation can be the greatest form of pleasure. I think it was a little exaggerated in my mind.”

Britt likens offense to stage – From philosophy to theater courtesy of the mind of Seahawks center Justin Britt, who chose an interesting analogy when asked about their continued offensive-line woes. “To me, playing offense is kind of like a play — you’re putting on a play, and if you don’t have the right rhythm, and somebody’s off, it kind of ruins the play,” Britt said. “Rhythm is everything to us.” The problem the Seahawks have up front is that everyone is off, and if their offensive line were a play, then it would have been canceled some time ago.

“It was a really proud moment that they called me [as the Cowboys draft pick] and I was able to represent my country.”

California-born Awuzie’s parent’s weren’t so easy to convince when he wanted to play American football while at school in San Jose, though, as it shifted focus away from his academics, which they considered far more important.

“That was the biggest problems in our house. Just me and my brother not living up to our educational standards,” he explained.

“Especially in elementary school to middle school, sometimes even in Cheap Jerseys Wholesale high school. That’s what caused our parents stress. Football was all good and everything but if the grades weren’t right, the Cheap Jerseys USA house wasn’t right.”

The NFL’s regular season TV ratings alarmingly dropped eight percent last season.

Berman’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” remained the most watched NFL pregame show from 11 a.m. to 12 last season, averaging 1.47 million viewers,, according to ESPN’s Bill Hofheimer. The two-hour show, airing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, competed against both “Fox NFL Kickoff” and “Fox NFL Sunday” as well as Cheap Islanders Jerseys CBS Sports’ “The NFL Today.”

ESPN is not standing pat with its flagship NFL pregame show, either. Besides giving Ponder the big chair, ESPN added ex-NFL coach Rex Ryan to the revamped crew of Randy Moss, Charles Woodson, Matt Hasselbeck, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen and Louis Riddick.

However, those who keep insisting that it’s too early to predict doom for this defense, and who keep rewinding the trash talk after the similar early-season beatdown by the Chiefs in 2014, should remember that the season isn’t as long as it seems on opening day.

It’s going to look much shorter if they lay another egg against Drew Brees and the Saints at the Superdome on Sept. 17. The window can close fast, especially when you give up 500 yards a game. They gave up 537 to the Chiefs, the most a Bill Belichick-coached Patriots team has ever surrendered. The 42 points surrendered were also a Belichick-era worst.

But Thompson’s “Fox NFL Kickoff” was a programming bright spot. The Cheap Jerseys AUStralia show averaged 1.341 million viewers and a 0.9 household TV rating, up 14 percent from 1.181 million viewers and the 0.8 rating the year before.

Colin Kaepernick’s fraternity brothers gathered before the Detroit Lions hosted the Arizona Cardinals to support the unsigned quarterback.

About 50 members of the Kappa Alpha Psi alumni chapter in the Motor City marched about a mile Sunday in a peaceful protest that ended just outside Ford Field.

Kaepernick remains unsigned after opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. His supporters believe that the league is punishing him for refusing to stand during the national anthem last season to protest police brutality.

Falling team: Cardinals — Yes, Palmer is still standing, yes they have David Johnson at running back and a seemingly uber-determined Tyrann Mathieu on defense, but there a lot of issues on this Cardinals team that suggest this could be another frustrating year. Larry Fitzgerald is in the twilight of his career and Arians has been dissatisfied with what he has seen from the rest of his receivers. The offensive line has a troubling injury history and on defense the Cards are relying on rookies Haason Reddick and Budda Baker to contribute early Cheap Giants Jerseys after losing nearly 5,000 snaps this offseason, with Calais Campbell and Tony Jefferson among those to leave. A lot needs to go right for the Cardinals not to disappoint again.

Circle this game on the schedule: Seahawks at Cardinals, Week 10, Nov. 9 — Since Cheap Hats And Jerseys the 49ers’ three-year run of NFC Championship game appearances came to an end, the division has been a fight between the Seahawks and the Cardinals and, with their second game in Seattle coming in Week 17, it is the Week 10 meeting in Arizona that seems more likely to have a decisive impact on the destination of the division title. The Cardinals will be looking for a first home win over Seattle since 2012, whether they can achieve that feat may well provide a window into whether they can wrest the division from the Seahawks.

The performance marked the second two-score game of the wide receiver’s NFL career

The appeals process and the federal lawsuit aren’t trying to establish guilt or innocence. Elliott was never charged with a crime. These processes simply seek to establish whether or not the NFL acted in a manner that is consistent with its personal conduct policy. Mazzant doesn’t believe it did.

“The NFL’s actions demonstrate that from the very beginning of the decision-making process, a cloud of fundamental unfairness followed Elliott,” Mazzant wrote in his decision. “Unfortunately, this cloud followed Elliott into the arbitration proceedings.”

It’s difficult to project how the appeals court will rule, but the NFL also filed an emergency stay. The league is seeking a quick decision for a process that often takes months:

That’s because it was Diggs who provided a lift to Minnesota’s passing attack with seven catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night’s 29-19 home victory over New Orleans.

The performance marked the second two-score game of the wide receiver’s NFL career, with the first coming in Week 15 of his rookie campaign in 2015. Diggs caught a personal-best 84 passes for 903 yards last season, but he scored only three times.

Two of those touchdown grabs last year came courtesy of quarterback Sam Bradford, who was thrust into a starting role shortly after being acquired in a preseason trade with Philadelphia. The Cheap Discount Jerseys improved Cheap Denver Broncos Jerseys chemistry that Bradford has built with Diggs and fellow wideout Adam Thielen (nine catches for 157 yards) through a full offseason and preseason together was on display against the Saints.

Quarterback Joe Flacco has no doubts that he’ll be ready to play in the season opener in Cincinnati.

Flacco missed 36 straight days this summer because of a lower back injury, but he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. “I am going to be as confident as ever taking the field,” Flacco said. “I am not going to think any differently.” The only players who didn’t have a full practice were backup Cheap Authentic NHL Jerseys cornerbacks Jaylen Hill (hamstring) and Sheldon Price (concussion).

If you’re not good at making and managing 150 lineups, stick to single-entry or three-max contests. Those games have a great opportunity for a return on your investment, but due to the smaller entry limits, they won’t have that huge $1 million first prize sitting up top. I have an old friend who always used to say, “If you want a big boy car, you’re going to have big boy payments,” and it still rings true for me in this scenario.

First-round pick Gareon Conley, who missed all of training camp and the four preseason games because of a right shin injury, is practicing and the Raiders’ thin secondary could need his Cheap Football Jerseys help. Before last week, when he came off the physically unable to perform list, the first time Conley faced any type of live competition was in June’s minicamp. The rookie is going to need some seasoning, and it is tough to imagine Oakland throwing him at Tennessee right off the bat with only a handful of practices under his belt. As such, it is hard to imagine seeing him active for the season opener, unless it’s as a dime back. “We’ll see how the week goes,” Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said Wednesday. “We’ll know more about Sunday as we go through the week.”

How the Jazz really lost Gordon Hayward in 2014

Despite having the most memorable Jazz season in the post-Jerry Sloan era, Utah’s cache has been cut in half with the departure of Gordon Hayward. But it didn’t have to be this way, and it’s partially the organization’s fault that it is.

In the summer of 2014, the Jazz had the chance to offer Hayward five-year, $80 million max deal in free agency after they failed to agree to terms on an extension for the swingman’s services earlier that fall. Instead, the Jazz opted to let Hayward test the market.

That’s where things went down hill.

Yes, the Jazz went about things the right way. They built their team up through the draft and hired the perfect coach for their talent. But part of Hayward’s sudden departure has to fall on them. They could easily have, at least, one more season of Hayward in Utah. Now? We’ll never know what this team could’ve truly become.

There are more Kyries out there. There are other stars who would bristle at living in LeBron’s massive shadow, who would feel as though no matter the accolades they receive, or the money they earn, they were being shortchanged. There are more players who want exclusive glory, even if the glory comes less frequently. Kyrie isn’t alone.

But he’s the first true star to say no to LeBron, and he did it after living at the right Cheap Jerseys China hand of the King for three wildly successful years. For so long, many of us presumed that LeBron’s basketball nature made life inside his court easy. Perhaps that wasn’t an accurate assessment. Perhaps for a star who considers himself an equal to LeBron, living in the shadow is more tortuous than losing 50 games a year.

Kyrie may soon get the chance to remember what the latter Cheap Jerseys And Sunglasses feels like.
